No such thing as bills,
Instead a dollar bill for cheap thrills…

Ignorant to the truth,
Not writing friends & family, locked up 12 to life in a booth…

Boys have cooties,
Not, “oh Tasha? She a hoochie”…
I wish I could go back to how things use to be…
Where perfection was amongst all, the least of my worries were to walk, but careful not to fall…
I wish I could go back to how things use to be…
Birthday cards signed by grandma love “Grandpa & me”…
I wish I could back to how things use to be…
Not afraid of being alone, because all I needed was my family…
BUT…
Things change people grow,
you can’t go back… && this is how I know,
that I finally understand the meaning of life,
babies are born, people change && loved ones die…

More To Life
Always happy never a reason to complain,
Mom and Dad by his side,
They call him their little king…
Scared at birth,
They weren’t sure what to do,
But they knew he was theirs,
Whether pink, purple or blue…
He may look different,
But a heart is a heart,
Often feared by the public,
As he is pushed in his cart…
Drool on his face,
Partnered by a smile,
He will never care what you think,
Continuing life in the meanwhile…
When June comes around he prepares for his sport;
Special olympics,
Dribbling up and down the court…
He doesn’t have an idol,
Or a girl with a title,
Celebrities are like UFO’s,
Family and friends are all he knows…
Living is what he does best,
Not thinking about him, her or the rest…
He never questions “why me,”
But instead wakes up, effervescent and smiley…
A kid at heart,
No matter how old he grows,
He will always remember,
the positive path that he subconsciously chose…
A true gift from god,
An example for the knowing,
To remember it’s not all about social sites or how much skin your showing…
Use him as an example,
To get you through your days,
And be thankful for what you have,
letting the mirror give you praise…
